Jenn-air For Export Markets
Do jennair manufacture a jed8230ads for export market, ie france/australia where volatge available is only 230vac50/60hz, therefore only a 3 wire configuration is required, active, neutral, earth. My neighbour has imported a unit from US and told it would work but have discovered that it is a 4 wire unit and requires 110/115v for controlling fan and other internal wiring, the unit does not come with any electrical specifications at all for 4 wire so assume that as 4 wire electrical input is 2phase (200v) with neutral gives you single phase(115v) for control wiring and earth. assuming elements are suitable for 200v not 115v and that 115v is only used to drive downdraft fan and what looks like an internal 115v relay. Is this correct ?
