How Can I Clear A Overheating Issue ?

My decoder after 20 secs since on, goes off flashing a overheating message.

The likely problem is that the CPU fan has stopped, hence overheating. If the unit is under guarantee then take it to the retailer for repair. If it is out of warranty then remove the covers and check if there is a fan on the CPU or at the rear of the unit. Check that it is spinning when powered up. If not thats your problem If there is no fan then there is likely a power supply problem. They should not create a large amount of heat like what you describe. They can get warm but not hot.

A common way to clear overheating is to use a fan. You can also remove the back panel of the receiver and have it blow into an open window.
