Huawei E587u-5 And T-mobile Monthly 4g

I have a T-mobile monthly 4G plan with a regular sim. I currently use it in a smartphone without wifi hotspot activated. It is possible to place my sim in the Huawei E587u-5 and use the data connection from my plan so I can connect my laptop, etc?
