Why Does My Adsl Connection Keep Droping?

Hi there, I am using a Huawei hg532c router. I tried updating the firmware, because I have the 1.02 version, which is quite old, but I couldn't do that, any file I tried to load to update, was rejected by the router because of the format. I also tried looking for malware on both computer and router. The ADSL drops for like 10-30 seconds about 20 times a day. This problem came out of nowhere, just started a few days back and is very annoying when it comes to gaming. I tried many different ways to fix it like changing IP of the router, reseting to default settings, changing the URL of ACS. There are no official updates on the Huawei website either. All the router update files were .binThanks in advance!
