Old Hotmail Account Can't Remember Info

Hi I have a hotmail account that has not ben used in a while. when I try to reset the password it says "The Windows Live ID is incorrect. Please try again". I know I created a Live ID but don't remember what It is. How can I get my Email account back?

The first thing you should do is change your password. You can change your password here. If you cannot change password via conventional methods (ie - through change password option, answering security answer or alternate email address), it needs to be verified. You can initiate the process of recovering your hotmail account here:

When you get your account verified and change the password, it should be changed to at least 7 characters, contain upper and lower case letters, numbers, and a special character.
