A/C Never Turns Off

Had a new furnace and ac put in this month. The wireless thermostat is set at 71it reached 71 this morning has stayed that tempature all day long. The ac never turns off. It has been like this since it was installed July 9th. We set it higher at night so it stays off. Is the problem with the thermostat or the ac unit.
