Buzzing Noise
My Honeywell HZ341BW buzzes after the power button is pressed. After I press the power button again, so the heater isn't blowing it's hottest air, the buzzing stops. The problem began a few months ago but the buzzing would eventually stop; now it's a continuous problem. Any suggestions on how to repair this problem myself? Thanks.

If a thermostat makes a buzzing or fizzing noise when switching this is normally as a result of the switch contacts in the thermostat becoming dirty. The noise is the contacts arcing as they close. Why is another question.
Typically this will happen if the load they are switching is particularly inductive or capacitive. The arcing causes the contacts to become even more dirty and pitted. Frequently the thermostat only switches the zone valve in a system, however in a combination boiler system it may be switching the boiler and pump directly which is a heavier load.
The thermostat needs to be changed, it will only get worse. We would suggest that the system should be checked for the load across the thermostat and whether there is a separate cause of any arcing. it may help to fit a suppressor to the circuit. An electrician should be able to advise in this regard.
Finally it is worth ensuring that the system has a 3amp fuse protecting it, no larger.
it indicates that the contacts have become 'sticky'. This can happen if the incorrect voltage is applied, for example 24 volts when it is rated at 230 volts.
If the correct voltage is applied then the thermostat should be replaced.
