I Had A Company Install This But They Never Showed Me How To Operate It Or Turn

I had a company install the HE260 whole house humidifier. I'm now ready to turn it on...but have no idea how! I see there is a dial to operate but I recall the guy telling me that I have to open something first for it to work. Can you please assist? I've no idea how to operate this thing!
