Tv Dims
sometimes when i am looking at the guide or if I pause the tv the picture will dim. it takes a little while for it to brighten up. what is this?

Many makes and models have this feature, some have customer options to turn it off while others don't. It has to do with the dynamic contrast, so they can claim the contrast ratio is higher. When you have a screen with a lot of dark and little brights the back-lights are dimmed. LCD TVs have a problem showing a black scene with the back-lights bright, so it analyzes the picture content and dims automatically. This happens a lot on the credits after a movie is over.
