My 82.3 Gb Hd Reads As 31.4 Gb. What Is The Jumper Setup?

I have a Deskstar Model IC35L080AVVA07-0 (ATA/IDE) that I am using as a slave to my laptop PC. Its jumper setup options are described as 16 heads, 15 heads, 32GB clip or Auto spin disable, to be used as master, slave, cable select or forcing dev 1 present. What is the jumper configuration for utilizing its full capacity as an 82.3 GB hard drive rather than the 31.4 GB it is reading as?

The jumper settings do not have something to do with the lack of storage capacity of your hard disk. Based on my experience, this is related to improper partitioning of the hard disk. The fix this issue, you have to use a partition management software to create another partition and format the remaining storage capacity which is missing. You can use one from the below listed partition management software.
  • Acronis Disk Director
  • EASEUS Partition Master
  • O&O PartitionManager Pro
  • Paragon Partition Manager
  • SwissKnife Premium
