Intermittent Outages

Why does our 37HLX99 picture/sound suddenly click on and off without apparent reason for several hours before returning to normal?  Imposasible to watch during these times.  Help!!

Sounds like a defective power supply.  It heats up, then goes out until it cools back down.  This is a service shop item.  Don't try to fix it yourself.
