Unable To Get Sound

Do you check your sound settings , because sometimes sound is disabled externally by us if you connected the a cable that had a (green) mini-stereo connector on both ends - one into the PC audio out (green) and one in the monitor's audio-in, then it should work.
Other things to look at would be to make sure "Speakers" is set as the default audio output device in Windows Sound Properties (from Control Panel).

Also... make sure the volume is up from the monitor OSD menu (I know you said you were in there, but just making sure you actually see the volume bar go from left to right) .
