Printer Not Booting Up

When booting up the machine gos through the process till it gets to the 5\6 c\f.

Unfortuantely, baking the board is not always the solution. I tried to bake my board to solve this very problem with no luck. This was a printer that had worked for 8 years and was slowly degrading. The thought was that the solder could have been cracking, but after baking at 425 F for 8 minutes, no change. The only thing left to do is to replace the formatter board completely.

Bake the formatter board. Recipe: preheat oven to 350 degrees. raise board off of metal oven rack - I use glass ashtrays in the corners of the board to prop it up. I remove the RAM prior to baking. Bake for 8 minutes, then cool for 30. Keep board level while baking and cooling reassemble printer. You will need to reset the date and time. I have had 100% success with this on 8-10 printers.
