I Cannot Scan With My Hp Officedesk 8600 Pro Even Though Instructions Says It
Can. When I Follow The Instructions That The Printer Offers, I Am Sent To Web Site Using It Says I Will Get Instructions But All I Get Are Advertizements I Want To Scan From My Printer To My Computer So I Can Send Receipt To My Insurance Agent.

Hello vequerin,
The driver may need to be uninstalled so a newer driver with up-to-date software can then be installed.
However, if you have a Windows 7 or Windows 8 Operating system there are other resources available before going through the uninstall/reinstall on your own.
if you are using Windows 7 or Windows 8, then please continue with the section below for the HP Printer Install Wizard
However, If your not using one of these operating systems, please skip this section and go to the HP Print and Scan Doctor section
WINDOWS 7 AND WINDOWS 8 USERS: you may want to download the 'HP Printer install Wizard', which is a program that will evaluate your operating system and determine if an update is available for your device, and install this update with your permisson.
OR if a better suited driver for your device is available the wizard will inform you of this and guide you through the steps if you decide to continue with the wizard.
You can access the information on what the wizard is and how to use it on the HP Support Website located here
Once you are done with any software and driver updates try to scan from your device again to see if this worked. If it did, great!
However, if your Operating System is not Windows 7 or Windows 8 OR if your issue has not been resolved after using the wizard, there is another HP support product you can use called the 'HP Print and Scan Doctor' which you can review what the 'Doctor' does and access the download here
