Pc Does Not Recognize The Printer

If you are attempting to set up the printer for first time use with your PC, then you will likely need to install/re-install the updated Printer driver onto the PC.
The following steps should ensure a proper connection between your two devices for use.
- You should begin with a fresh install/set-up. So please completely unplug the printer from BOTH computer/laptop and the Printer itself. (data cable and power cord) (Skip this step if you have not connected the cords/cables as of yet)
- Go to the Printers folder in your Control Panel and remove any driver for this printer model that may already be installed on your computer/laptop.
- Reboot your system, leaving the printer off and to the side for now.
Next is to download the Printer's Driver from the HP Website. The driver for your printer can be accessed here.
- Select Drivers and Software (located on the middle of the wabpage)
- Choose your operating system from the dropdown menu in the middle of the screen to view a list of downloads available for your system.
- Select the Driver to download.
PLEASE NOTE: The printer should remain disconnected until instructed to do so during the set-up process.
