Why Can't I Read My Scanned Document?
After I scan the document, I can pull it up in the right place but then it asks what I want to open it with. I said Microsoft Word ( I have had no problems in the past with this) but it brings up weird markings. I have recently uninstalled things from my computer and am afraid I have uninstalled the things to view my scanned documents.

If you have made changes to your computer that are affecting it's performance, you can undo your changes by restoring your computer to a former date. Restoring the computer to another date changes the settings back to a former time when things were working smoothly. This does not affect your current work such as documents, favorites or email...only your essential settings.
Do this by completing the following steps:
1. Go to System Restore 2. Go to Start...then Accessories 3. Click on System Tools 4. Click on System Restore 5. Click Restore My Computer to an Earlier Time 6. Click Next 7. Select a restore point date that is BOLDED...not greyed out. 8. Click Next 9. Reboot your computer and verify the restore has taken place.
