Activating S-video Or Composite Video Output On Hp En489aa - Advanced Docking S
Hello, I am trying to get a video output through the s-video and/or composite video output on this HP Advanced Docking Station. I am able to get a signal from the DVI port on the replicator but NOT the s-video NOT the composite video.

I am having the exact same issue. The DVI output works from the docking station but after unplugging it and rebooting the S-video nor composite video output works!
The lame answer provided (the part numner is EN488aa and the computer is 8730w) did not see the part info provided? Nor did the unplugging suggestion work! HP is absolutely CLUELESS on support!
If you know the answer and can get the docking station to output to S-Video and/or composite video please respond.

Without a specific part number or model code it is difficult to find any information on your docking station. Visit www.hp.com to carry out our own search.
If you have a DVI adapter or cable attached it may be that the docking station is restricting the outputs to these ports. Try removing the cable and adapter if fitted before going too deep.
Place another question with more details of the docking station and the laptop you are using if you don't get your problem solved.
