Open the HP Printer Assistant:
-
Windows XP
On the Windows taskbar, click Start, click All Programs, point to Hewlett Packard, point to the name of your product, and then click Printer Assistant. The Printer Assistant window opens.
-
Windows Vista and Windows 7
On the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon, click All Programs, point to Hewlett Packard, point to the name of your product, and then click Printer Assistant. The Printer Assistant window opens.
-
Click Utilities, and then click View Ink Levels.
NOTE: Ink level indicators provide estimates for planning purposes only. When an indicator shows low ink levels, consider having a replacement cartridge available to avoid possible printing delays. You do not need to replace cartridges until print quality becomes unacceptable. If neither cartridge is empty, press the Resume button and continue printing.
