How Do I Get My Scanner To Work On My Hp Deskjet3050 All-in-one Printer?

I had a scanner icon on the bottom of my screen and someone fixed some errors on my computer and deleted my icon. I want to replace the icon and use my scanner.

Greetings - I would suggest you run a System Restore but that may restore some (if not all) of the errors alluded to. The best thing then would be to reinstall the printer's Driver & Software bundle from off the disc that came together with the printer. The same bundle can be downloaded from the webpage linked to below in case the disc was misplaced -
