Cleaning Kit Missing

my media jammed in my HP L25500. We got the jam out and after we powered down and powered it back up. It then asked for a new cleaning kit even though it is only 20% used. We tried a different kit and each time after trying to register the new kit it says the cleaning kit is missing.
