Printer Deskjet 6122 Started Printing Blurry Black Text And Images

Printer was fine for a couple of years, using the substitute driver for driver 990c. Suddenly, black text and images, or color text and images that add black color (e.g., dark blue) come out blurry. Basic colors come out sharp. Printer is set on Best quality, and I exchanged the black cartridge, but it did not help. I found a response to the same problem suggesting using software to do the cartridge head adjustment, but I cannot find in with the driver software. How can I fix this problem? Thanks.
