How To Reset Bios Password On A Hp Compaq 8510p Notebook Pc

- I did solve it however with the help of someone else here on FixYa (sorry I can't find him). The solution: 1) Remove battery 2) Remove AC power supply 3) Remove the RTB found under the keyboard 4) NOW DO THIS PART QUICKLY...plug in the AC power...you will see a circle icon with an "i" in it on the indicator board. As soon as it lights up push on it. It may flash back on once. Now return the computer to it's functional state (leave keyboard loose just in case you need to repeat this) and you will find that the BIOS password is GONE, BABY GONE!!! I wish I knew who to thank for this...if you see this identify yourself...YOU ROCK DUDE!

- I have now done this on 9 - HP6510p, HP8510p, HP8510w and HP8710p laptops.
