How Do I Change The Ink Cartridge On My Hp4500 Printer?

I have taken the black cartridge out but cannot get it back in.

1. Remove the new ink cartridge from its packaging and, being careful to touch only the black plastic, gently remove the plastic tape by using the pink pull tab.

2. Hold the ink cartridge with the HP logo on top, and insert the new ink cartridge into the empty cartridge slot. Make sure you push the ink cartridge in firmly until it snaps into place.

3. Close the front access door.

4. Make sure you have letter or A4, unused, plain white paper loaded in the input tray.

5. Press OK. The printer prints an ink cartridge alignment sheet.

6. Load the ink cartridge alignment sheet face down on the scanner glass in the front right corner with the top of the page to the right, and then press OK. The printer aligns the ink cartridges.
