How To Type With Keys?

I can type on my new notebook using the touchscreen, but how do I type using the keyboard? It will always switch to the touchscreen after a few sentences.

I would suggest taking a look at the HP website for your model.

There are FAQs and support documents which should give you the information you require. Windows 8 is defined as a 'touchscreen' system so one would need to modify your user settings to force it to respond to the keyboard.
