Hp31005t Installation

I am getting numeric display of 000 through 999 when I press the up and down arrows instead of "A", "C" or "H"This is a new install. What do I select to put the unit into "Heat" mode only?

Maybe there is a misunderstanding: I am trying to set up my Heatpump in "Heat mode" only. I press the up and down arrows for 10 seconds and the display goes to three digit numerics only. (From 000 to 999) No "C","A" or "H" I can step through the numbers forward and backwards from 000 or 999 but how do I get out of this to program the operating mode??

The HP31005T pool heat pump has a digital display that shows the current pool temperature, the setpoint temperature, and the operating mode. The operating mode is displayed as a letter:

A: Auto mode

C: Cool mode

H: Heat mode

If you are getting numeric values when you press the up and down arrows, it means that the unit is in the setpoint programming mode. To put the unit into heat mode, you need to press the SET button until the letter H appears on the display.

Here are the steps on how to put the HP31005T pool heat pump into heat mode:

Make sure that the unit is turned on.

Press the SET button repeatedly until the letter H appears on the display.

The unit will now be in heat mode.

To exit the setpoint programming mode, press the SET button once. The unit will return to displaying the current pool temperature.

Here are some additional tips:

The setpoint temperature is the temperature that you want the pool water to reach. You can adjust the setpoint temperature by pressing the up and down arrows.
