Aqua Plus Chlorination With External Pump Control

Apparently I bought (online)much more than I needed with the Aqua Plus Automation and Chlorination. All I wanted was the salt chlorination but see the Aq Plus can do much more. I have the old fashioned timers on my pool filter pump and the Polaris booster pump. Initially I palnned to leave those as they are and set up th Aq+ just to chlorinate. Later when I buy a new VS pump I'll rewire everything and get the most from the Aq+ system. I have control power in, T-15 cell , flow switch with proper flow direction, air and water temperature sensors all plugged into the mainboard. Date and time set OK, default menu only displays , date/time, air temp, pool temp, I see no salt level display with filter button "on" or "off", no pool temp reading with filter button "off". I thought I could either program the Aq+ chlorination to be "on" within the time interval that my pool pump is running (under the control of the old switches), or just set it to chlorinate 24 hours, but it would only actually work when the pump was on (flow switch control). There are no chlorination options in the Settings menu, just day, time, light, beep. Questions: 1. Can I set up Aq+ clorination with my pump controlled by an external switch? 2. If I need to change the configuration, how do I unlock the Config menu? Should I? 3. What changes need to be made in Config? 4. Other possible causes for chlorination apparently not working?
