Haus Hw50-1010w Electrical Fault

Our daughter has a HAUS HW50-1010W washing machine. The fault started as pausing and not finishing the wash program. Now when it is plugged in it trips the RCD. We managed to open the door and get the washing out but it still has an inch or so of water in it. Any ideas please?
