The unit has a tank built into the unit which must be emptied periodically. The front panel display will show STOP indicating that the water tank is full and needs to be emptied. Unplug the unit and place a shallow pan under the drain, open the drain plug to empty the tank. The knob is the drain plug used to allow air in to facilitate draining.
