My Mouse Keeps Playing Up

it works, but it keeps jittering, i think it may be something to do with the surface but i'm using a mouse mat... please help.

I would check to make sure there's nothing blocking the laser on the bottom of the mouse. Sometimes dust and hairs can mess it up.
