Random Short Beeps

After about six months of use, I started to get random numbers of short beeps coming from the board.  It took me a few minutes to localize the beeps to a source of what I had come to think of as the POST beep speaker because the beeps started several hours AFTER the computer was powered on.  I'm getting one to nine short beeps at random times and I'm wondering what the board is trying to tell me..

Below are the beep codes copied from the manual:
  • 1 short: System boots successfully
  • 1 long, 3 short: Keyboard error
  • 2 short: CMOS setting error
  • 1 long, 9 short: BIOS ROM error
  • 1 long, 1 short: Memory or motherboard error
  • Continuous long beeps: Graphics card not inserted properly
  • 1 long, 2 short: Monitor or graphics card error
  • Continuous short beeps: Power error

So, it sounds like you have either a BIOS ROM error (there's a problem with your BIOS, try flashing it [don't interrupt process while flashing!!!]) or a Power error (borrow someone's PSU and see if that clears the error)
