New Build, First Try.beep Codes Help. Ga-78lmt-usb3 Mb.
Hoping for some help with my first build. Kit components listed online as 400.00 gaming computer. Many have built this one and it gets good reviews. My problem at the moment is fans all start, lights light up but i am getting 2-3 second long beeps non stop. Also no video signal.I have done checklist for connections ad nauseum, along with trying all the mem slots. I don't have another mem card to try and there is no windows program installed yet. Various things you can try.
First remove any hardware ie disk drives,dvd drives,graphics card etc. Then only have the cpu and the first two memory slots occupied. Basically a bare system. Use the onboard VGA port for the monitor. Check that the power supply has sufficient power to drive the board by checking the manual with the spec of the board. If you can get into the bios check the version. It may need upgrading to F3 as it could have been shipped with F1. Make sure that you have no missing mounting screws or poor connections. If none of these solutions work and you do not have any exchange parts then you will need to contact the supplier for a possible replacement.
