Where Can I Find A Replacement 6-inch Speaker For My Ge Superadio Iii
My GE Superadio III works in every other respect but the 6-inch speaker has failed (burnt out voice coil). I've searched in vain for a replacemnt speker. So far no luck. Can anyone uggest a source?

I found the perfect drop in replacement speaker for my Superadio III. The size and shape was exactly like the original. It sounds good too. I purchased it at a local electronics parts store. It is a Philmore Model TS60. 6 inch, 8 Ohm, 3oz ceramic magnet, 10W nom, 15W peak. I paid about $12. It appears to be readily available on the net. Google Philmore TS60 and go from there. I imagine other speakers may fit too but this one does for sure. I was so happy to save my Superadio. I also mounted a small on/off toggle switch on yop rear to replace the fragile top one that I always mess up when opening the case.

I am going through the same thing right now with my SRIII. It a mazes me that parts are so hard to find as few fix things anymore. My speaker was intermmittent and now is dead with an open voice coil. I have a large electronics parts store that I will visit soon. I did see a speaker that looks identical on an antique radio repair site radio daze Click on speakers and the part number is
There are also electronic parts houses on the net such as DigiKey, Allied and Mouser but I find it hard to find the right speaker there.
