To change the SMOS battery on a Gateway ZX6900, you will need to follow these steps:
- Unplug the power cord and all other cables from the computer.
- Remove the battery from the battery compartment.
- Locate the SMOS battery on the motherboard. It is usually a small, round, silver-colored battery.
- Carefully remove the battery from its connector by gently lifting it out.
