Gateway Zx4931 Random Shutdowns

I have an All in one Gateway ZX4931 that has suffered some kind of failure. There were several times that when turning on my hair dryer in a different room, caused the breaker to blow and shut down the PC. It started making a loud noise (Possibly the fan) after being on for about 2 min, and then it shuts down and continuously tries to restart, but never gets past the boot screen. It will keep doing it for hours until I catch it at the right time and hold down power button to get it to power down. Its been over a year ago, so I am hazy on the details of what changes were made around the time this problem started. I do remember doing a check to see if my drivers were up to date, and I think it told me to update BIOS, which I am pretty sure I did. It had abt 400GB of info on it, and I had it set to index, and I tried at one point to do the compress to save space option under properties of the C: drive, then turned it off after it seemed to be taking forever to complete. Again, I'm not sure if that was before or after the noise started. It eventually quit booting into Win at all, until I used the backup partition on C: to reinstall Win to factory mode. It stayed on almost long enough to do a clean reinstall of Win, but of course it started its cycle again, and I had to wait a few hours and turn it back on to resume install. Nevertheless, I EVENTUALLY got Win to boot up, but it fixed nothing. It is still making the same noise which seems to gradually get faster and louder and Win only stays on for a few minutes once that noise starts. When I tried the boot up error checks, it was attempting to do something with recovering or replacing "bad sectors" but it only goes so far before shutdown and restart cycle starts again. I'm sorry if thats an all over the place explanation, I just want to provide as much detail as I can. Not sure if this might have anything to do with the same problem, but I also have an HP photosmart premium C310a printer that was attached to the same power source, that started having problems with randomly shutting down about the same time the PC probs started. I have to unplug it and wait 15-20 minutes and plug it back in to get it working too. Its strange but the touchscreen will go off abt 5 min after it powers on, and wont come back on at all unless I unplug and wait 20 min to power cycle back on. If I don't need to change any settings (Wifi etc..) after the display goes off that require the touchscreen to be on, It will sometimes stay on in (sleep mode?) for days and still prints as my network printer but with no touchscreen features. I have tried all the basic trouble shooting that I can find online for both the PC and Printer to no avail. Please help!! I'm not looking for a pity party but I am a 34yr old single mom, and in-house caretaker of 83 year old Aunt w Alzeheimers, and unfortunately, I don't have the ability financially to take the PC to a repair shop, and pay for a diagnosis and repair, soI'm praying that if it could possibly be something I can try to troubleshoot and possibly repair myself with guidance. Obviously, I'd prefer to at least try this route first. Thank you, very much in advance for taking a look at my problem.

Unfortunately this isn't something you'll be able to repair yourself. It's very likely either an overheating problem or a bad motherboard. Either way, you'll need someone with computer repair experience to fix it for you.
