How Do You Reinstate The Actual Spoken Commands On The Nuvi 2797lm Model Please?

the unit no longer makes any sound, no beeping when selecting options, no commands to tell you where to turn, what have I inadvertantly turned on/off to make it not work as I wish t to? any assistance would be appreciated thanks molly
