Gmc Yukon Slt Oil Pressure

The oil pressure gauge reads 80 psi. Is this normal?Also, while driving on highway the gauge drops to 0. It has done this 2 times. Again, is this normal?

No, you most likely have a failing oil pressure sending unit. Its located on the back of the motor block on the drivers side. If you put a mirror back there you can see it. You have to unplug harness & use a deep well 1-1/16" socket to remove it. It'll take about a half hour to remove the old 1 and put in new 1. Pressure should be reading between 40 psi & 50 psi.
