Inside Of Refrigerator Has Rust Like Deposits That Settle All Over
In the bottom of the all refrigerator behind the pull out drawer the enamel is peeling and it seems as if there is rust that is settling inside the refrigerator. I have covered it with tape to prevent the rust-like mist from settling in causing me to clean every three days. I cannot put anthing in the frigde that is not covered. can this be repaired...they are only 5 years old.

Hello rcu777 – From what you have described it sounds like something has leaked, whether it could be ice or water and has caused this issue. I strongly suggest cleaning out the unit completely and possibly consider contacting the manufacturer directly to verify if a repair kit or food safe enamel paint is available. Meanwhile, if your unit is stainless, try using hot soapy water or a stainless steel cleaning polish and conditioner to try helping remove this layer of oxidation and prevent any more rust.
