  • Try the following to unlock the door:
    1. Disconnect power to range for 30 seconds.
    2. Reconnect power and see if door will unlatch.
  • If door does not unlatch and you do not have food in the oven, set the oven up to clean for 1-2 hours. Wait approximately 30 minutes for the oven to cool and try to unlock the door. If the door unlocks, the control has reset itself and there should not be any other problems. Do not force the latch at anytime.

Oven doors have two door hinges, a left and right. On some ovens the same hinge is used, but on other ovens the right hinge and left hinge have different part numbers. The door hinge sometimes is sold with all necessary parts and springs; other times the parts need to be ordered separately. An oven door repair for a door hinge is a relatively easy repair for a do-it-yourselfer. You can if you wish order a door hinge at https://www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/How-To-Fix-A-Range-Stove-Oven/22-2--UExFUzM4OUVDIA==/Frigidaire-Oven-door-repair.
