Good Afternoon Friend, thank you for your post!

I understand that your Frigidaire refrigerator (FPHB2899LF) is experiencing moisture problems. Here are some simple troubleshooting tips to help resolve this issue:

  • Double-check that the door is securely closed. Make sure nothing is blocking the door. If the door is slightly open, warm air can enter the refrigerator causing moisture.
  • Check and see if the door seal is bad. Place a dollar bill between the body of the freezer and the door. Now close the door. The dollar bill should stay in place and pull out with a small amount of resistance. If the dollar bill falls out when placed between the gasket and cabinet double check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing.
  • The doors are opened too often or too long and allow warm air to enter your refrigerator.
  • If food is left uncovered in the refrigerator, moisture will be drawn out of it and will deposit any place it can. It is best to always cover or wrap food.
  • If the weather is hot and humid, the rate of frost buildup and internal sweating ca increase.
  • Store vegetables in containers with lids or freezer bags and this will keep the food from dehydrating and leaving moisture.
  • If the abovementioned tips do not resolve your issue, it may be more of a technical issue and an authorized service provider would be able to better diagnose the issue.

If you do not know a professional technician, manufacturer websites often have service provider locators’ onsite to assist you in the regard. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reconnect! Best - Chris
