The Dual Element Of My Frigidaire Stovetop Model Fpec3685ks Does Not Shut Off.

All of the other elements are working fine.  We have been controlling the unit by shutting off power at the main fuse box.  The repairman said that we needed to replace the entire control board which would cost $230 for parts and another $130 for labor.  Is it possible to repair the switch on the control board without replacing it?  Is there a cheaper fix?  What is the most cost efficient way to approach this?

Hello pdmccarty – Since this is an electric cook-top unfortunately it will not be possible to repair just the switch on the EOC without replacing it.
