Why Is My Water Not Cold?

I purchased a fridge this morning. It is installed 8 hours ago. We did the usual run the 2 gallon water deal with the person who brought the machine. After 8 hours, the water that I get from the water dispenser is still the same with the tap water or even a little warmer. It is as if it does not cool the water at all. Is this normal? If not, what is the problem?

It is normal for the water in any refrigerator unit to be either the same as tap water or slightly "cool", not ever cold. This is why you always see an ice dispenser next to the cool water dispenser. The water lines are very long within the unit and must pass through components that are heated or can be heated, or that are not being cooled by a fan or the freezer section of the unit. If you test the water by putting a pitcher underneath and letting the watr run for what would b a few glasses you will feel cooler water being dispenser, however you will then get tap water temperature once you stop and retry later on.

I've read reviews on Lowe's website that claim Frigidaire refrigerators lack a tank in which water can be chilled. Water moves through fridge too quickly to cool on the fly. If true it's shameful that Frigidaire fails to disclose this in their product literature.
