My Fridgidaire Dishwasher Model Fdb1100rhc2 Will Not Power. What Is Wrong?
There is nothing wrong with the power supply, so it is getting power. I think there is something wrong with the latch but Im not sure. I have had this problem before where the machine would not power, but after wiggling the cords that are hooked up to the door latch it finally showed signs of power. This time however we didn't have such luck. There was water left in the machine once it stopped working. I opened the door and the water seemed to increase in volume and ultimately leaked out the machine while the door was closed. The machine is really smelly because it had old water left in it and now it has my kitchen smelling sour. I need to get this fixed soon. Would a bad latch cause the machine not to work?

It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn dishwasher back on. Confirm that the door is properly latched and try selecting a cycle. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, it could potentially mean a number of things: a potential wiring failure, damaged cord, faulty door latch assembly (as you mentioned) or control board. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the appliance.
