A/c Compressor Stays On
AC Compressor goes on the moment you plug unit in and stays on. Thermostate setting has no effect. Power button has no effect. Compressor stays on even when unit it turned "off". When you turn it on/off only the fan goes on and off. You have to unplug it to turn off the compressor. Is it the control board behind the panel? What is the "switch" behind the control panel on the schematics. Is it that, the board or something else?

I understand the compressor to your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# FAA065P7A, stays on from the moment you plug it in. I also see that no matter what option you put in on, including “OFF”, the compressor will stay on. There could be a couple different possibilities with this occurring. It could possibly be the switch behind the control board. It could possibly be the control board. It could possibly be something completely separate that is causing the compressor to stay on when you plug your air conditioner in.
