Dryer Spins But Theirs No Heat What Do I Do

1. Clean the filter with hot soapy water to remove any Fabric Detergent or Softners films that could decrease airflow.
2. Verify the ducting in your home has been cleaned recently and has no debris or build up.
3. Do not overload the drum which can decrease air flow.
4. Turn the breaker to the unit off for 5-6 minutes. Turn the unit's power back on and try a cycle again. If this does not prove to be succesful here are a few possible causes that a technician would be required to check:

Defective control board, defective power Supply (240v), defective heating element, high limit thermostat or defective sensor.


The maximum heat that most dryers can reach is somewhere between 145-150 degrees farenheit. Of course, this can vary between makes, models, and manufacturers, but if a dryer is heating up beyond 150 degrees, you should probably have it checked out by a professional as it could very well turn into a fire hazard.
