The Engine Temperature Is Low And A New Thermostat Was Put In 6 Months Ago

Engine temperature only gets to about 150 -160 have changed the thermostat 6 months ago. This is the third time for this problem. I changed the thermostat in the past and it fixed the problem. Could it be something damaging the thermostat?
