My Fuel Relay Fuze Keeps Blowing.

The fuel relay seems to blow after we turn the car off for long periods, could the amps be to high? My husband checked for leaks and there is none and the gas seems to flow otherwise we wouldnt be able to run the car right? The battery also seemed rather hot after running the car too.
