How many catalytic converters are there? Cost to replace on 1998 Contour SVT 6 cyl engine?

There are at least two catalytic converters and maybe more! I checked the Autozone website and they show a whole page of them. Some are for the front of the exhaust, some are for the back and some are for the manifold! Very confusing.
