Catalytic converter - can you remove the "beebees"? that are rattling

You can if you remove the cat and then you are free to gut it. Ive used a pry bar as a punch and hollowed them before but whatever you feel like being destructive with will do fine. Just keep in mind the car wont pass a state inspection smog test but it will look "legal".
