If this only happens while on Facebook and not any other websites then we could probably rule out an issue with the computer itself.

However, if you have not done so already it is a good idea to clear your internet cache, delete cookies and reboot. And this should be done to both the Google, as well as, internet explorer browsers. (Although you may not use ie doesn't mean the cache is not used).

Once your computer reboots, you can review this link here for some input others have tried who have the same issue as yours.

There are few suggestions posted to try at the link. But, the ones that seem to provide the best information came from the following:

1. The fault may be that you're using XP! Microsoft does not support or update XP, so it's vulnerable to all sorts of malicious hacks. Chances are unfortunately great that you're encountering a computer virus.

2. If the above is not the case, this may work: First clear your cache and cookies. How you do that depends on your browser. In Firefox, use its toolbar to go to Tools|Options|Privacy, and then click "clear your recent history." See your own browser's help section if you don't know how. Then restart your computer. It also may be necessary to update your browser; links for updating various browsers may be found on this Facebook page (even though it's not a Facebook issue): http://www.facebook.com/help.php?page=742
