My Email Is Being Used In Another Facebook Account? Unable To Change To Primary

I am unable to change my primary email address via my profile change on my facebook account.I follow the steps how to, but I get the notification that my new email adress is being used in another facebook account? Pls. advice me how to go on. I have looked through the help options, but cannot find simular problem.

Your options are VERY limited. Facebook has no support phone number and no email address.

Your best bet is to keep trying the online forms.

Reports of compromised accounts usually get attention (relatively) quickly. https://www.facebook.com/hacked/

Your primary email address can be easily changed. Simply log in to your Higher One Account. Under the Profile tab, click Email. Click the Add a New button and follow the prompts to add your new address. The additional email address will populate under your email user profile as Unconfirmed.

Using the radio buttons on your email profile and select the email address you wish to confirm. Within seconds, a confirmation code is sent to that email address. Enter the confirmation code from your email address and click the Confirm button to enter the confirmation code in the blank field provided. Click the Submit button to confirm your new entry.

Though you can have more than one confirmed email address, only one can be the primary at any given time. By selecting the appropriate radio button, you can determine which of your email addresses is maintained as the primary. Click the Make Primary button to complete the process.
